Magic First Ride

Time for some action and some serious bike-porn.

Who doesn´t know?

What passionate mountainbiker doesn´t long for?

That tension.

That feeling.

That feeling of horniness.

That lust for a new bike.

Which frame?

Which parts?

How do I pimp it?

How do I customize it?

What will it look like?

And the most important, how will it ride?

How will it feel?

Questions upon questions.

All of which are answered step by step and which increase the horniness more and more until the very end.

What a process.

The bike.

It´s simply part of it all.

The bike as a piece of sports equipment but also as an object of desire.

The time in the workshop, the parts, the personalization.

All that is an indispensable part of that freeride kinda lifestyle I love so much.

That moment I´m waiting for every year.

That time when it´s getting closer and closer.

Again and again I can hardly wait.

Can’t wait for that day.

For that moment.

That moment of truth when that thing is finally finished in all its glory.

BOOM.

What a thing.

What a beauty.

Exactly as I imagined.

Exactly as I planned and wanted.

A playful freeride weapon with the potential of a real big bike.

Perfectly tailored to my needs and ready to go.

Beauty & Beast at the same time.

There´s only one thing that is missing.

That Magic First Ride.

That day of truth.

That day I’ve been waiting for so long.

That day of the first test ride with my new custom Kavenz VHP18 freeride bike.

Nothing more exciting than finding a location on the way of my seasonal roadtrip project „VANLIFEDIARIES“ where this horse can be spurred on.

Where I can put it through its paces for the very first time.

Ride it on a spot that looks exactly what I set it up for.

A quarry on the way did it to us.

Years ago I was already looking for real freeride lines on a tour through Austria.

And I found what I was looking for on similar locations.

Areas in which you can find lines and descents that have it all.

That have it all without putting a lot of work and effort into.

Fresh freeride lines.

First lines.

Simply exactly what I love the most.

No sooner said than done.

Off to the quarry.

And again, it only takes a few simple steps to make some lines rideable.

Most of the time it´s just about landings or outlets that are blocked by some rocks or even massive boulders.

Impassable and dangerous.

But once you slightly shaped a few things, you can suddenly see some rideable lines showing up.

Lines to get you excited and impatient to finally start riding.

Feasible descents that still demand a lot and sometimes even everything.

Exactly what I´m looking for.

Exactly what I need.

Exactly what I´m here for.

Exactly what this bike is made for.

Loose and slippery terrain, steep slopes and high speeds with little to no room for error.

Added to this is the knowledge that all these lines are also first lines.

That I don’t know how they behave.

That I can’t observe beforehand to imitate it.

It`s important and even indispensable to look for an exact line and put together a plan.

A plan that makes sense.

A plan that seems feasible.

A plan that can and must be implemented in exactly the same way and from which I should no longer deviate.

Simply can no longer deviate.

Can’t deviate once I’m in.

Once I´m the line.

Full focus.

Full concentration.

Life in the here and now.

A 100%.

No room and no space for anything else.

That feeling of pure freedom.

Pure freedom of mind.

That feeling of freedom I´m constantly looking for.

Constantly longing for.

Strive for.

That I aspire to.

That gives me everything.

At least for these moments when everything is at stake.

WOW.

What a bike.

I feel at home from the first moment.

I feel good.

Feel one piece with it.

It´s perfect.

It´s magical.

A real “Magic First Ride”.

There is no better feedback really.

All the construction process paid off.

Well thought out, planned, implemented and worked out perfectly.

A magical moment.

A magical feeling.

A feeling we live for.

A feeling I live for.

A feeling for which I travel the world.

Which I chase.

Which I pursue again and again and incessantly.

And within riding bikes I always find it.

Always.

And it never stops to feel good.

To feel magical.

What a sport.

What a lifestyle.

What a life to include all that.

To experience all that.

Magical daily rides to make life a whole big Magic Ride.
